Dealership paint protection is typically applied before delivery of the vehicle and is often included as part of a protection package. While some dealership packages may use genuine ceramic products, many involve a quick application process with minimal paint preparation.

Because new vehicles are rarely perfect straight from the factory, contaminants, transport marks, and light paint defects can already be present before the protection is applied.

Without proper preparation, any imperfections become sealed beneath the coating.
